Skarlett Riot @ Satan's Hollow
Our writer, Mick Birchall, had to pull out of this gig last minute so we'll leave you with the reflective thoughts of our photographer for the evening. Check out his gallery of shots below.
"Skarlett Riot reminded me of my youth and a taste for The Sex Pistols and their spin offs. To look at this energetic band from Scunthorpe with all their colours and well chosen venue at Satan's Hollow in Manchester you would think that you were listening...if you turned your head away...to a well oiled mature band that had played the circuit for decades. And this is the evidence of the younger musicians today in that their musicianship is very true and hard earned. Their listening comes from classic bands and the varied mix of today's modern sound. I could hear their angst, I could see their energy, I could hear the clanging of metal and thumping of rock with the hammer.
"Skarlett Riot attempted to take you off your feet and succeded. I was glad I went down into town and expereinced them. Look out for these because it won't be long before the riot ends up in a stadium. Scunthorpe is known for its Steel. Keep the the melting pot burning, Skarlett Riot."
