Tijuana Death Shot - gig preview
MR last caught Tijuana Death Shot in November and we were mightily impressed with what we saw.
The band describe themselves as rock/heavy rock which is a little misleading albeit in a positive way as their sound is a little more complex. Taking their influences from a combination of new wave and punk as well as straight ahead rock, the band deliver quite an intense performance. Singer Jo Quincy looking like an androgynous LA drop out sounds like an English version of Jello Biafra as he squirms around the stage finally collapsing at the end of the show. The band were exciting and unpredictable.
TDS are playing at Grand Central on Thursday 18th February and we highly recommend you catch them.
Supporting them will be South Yorkshire alt-rockers Dead Blonde Stars and starting the evenings entertainment at 8:40 are Black Neon Knights. MR will be down there to catch the thrills and spills of the evening.
