The King King Is Back...

The King King Is Back...

King King have released a new single (She Don’t) Gimme No Lovin taken from their forthcoming new studio album Exile & Grace; the new album is released on 6th October, their first album of new material since Reaching For The Light released back in 2015.

The single is pure unadulterated classic rock and we here at MR are loving it! It is highly reminiscent of Whitesnake and Thunder and is a great tease for the new album which we are now really looking forward to.  King King’s leader and guitar player Alan Nimmo says “it definitely has a rockier feel and sound to it. We are following our influences from the Classic Rock genre… we really set out to challenge ourselves with this album. We’ve stepped up the quality of songwriting and pushed ourselves physically in both performance and delivery!”

They were impressive when we saw them at Manchester’s Club Academy in May 2016 and we are certainly looking forward to seeing them again so it looks like a trip over to Sheffield next January.

King King’s upcoming tour has been postponed until January 2018, the new dates are:

Wednesday 17th January 2018 - London, Shepherd’s Bush Empire

Thursday 18th January 2018 - Birmingham, Town Hall

Saturday 20th January 2018 - Bath, Forum

Friday 26th January 2018 - Edinburgh, Queen’s Hall

Saturday 27th January 2018 - Sheffield, Leadmill
