ManchesterRocks Presents: Mouth In The South, Over The Influence and The Sourheads
We take great pleasure in announcing another ManchesterRocks show once again at Night People in the heart of Manchester on Thursday 21st June!
Headlining the event will be Mouth In The South and it will be their ‘AFTERSHOCK’ EP launch party… and we plan to celebrate the launch in style!! The EP was recorded in Salford by Chris Taylor (of Lester Verde fame) and Chris will also be the sound engineer for the evening so you know it will be good.
We have two bands supporting too… Over The Influence impressed us greatly when we saw them earlier in the year and we said Bruising riffs, melodic hooks and catchy choruses... Over The Influence performed a thoroughly enjoyable, cohesive set and were a real joy to watch. So we just had to get them back – all the way from Oxford too – check out their video!
And opening up proceedings, from Wakefield, are The Sourheads who described themselves as having the swagger of The Stooges, the poetry of The Doors, the danger of Alice Cooper, and the dirt of Kyuss then make it bigger. That sounds good enough for us!
Finally the venue, Night People has great beer, great sound and now has a cracking lighting system so it is perfect for shows like this.
It is going to be packed so book early to avoid disappointment £6 (plus booking fee) in advance -> skiddle.com/e/13212069
