STEVE HACKETT - Genesis Revisited with Band & Orchestra
Prog icon and former Genesis guitarist, Steve Hackett, has announced a 6-date UK tour in October accompanied by both his regular band and a 41-piece orchestra. These shows promise to be a incredible experience and include a visit to Manchester's Bridgewater Hall on Wednesday 3rd October!
The decision to undertake this tour was due to the critical and audience success of last year’s one-off US performance of the Genesis Revisited music with his band and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra which added even more texture and colour to classic Genesis tracks. Bradley Thachuk, the conductor of the US show, will fly over to the UK to conduct the October shows.
Steve explains, "I always hoped that the Genesis music would one day involve an orchestra and I'm proud to say I'll now be able to make that dream a reality on my next British tour, involving my own extraordinary rock band alongside a full-sized orchestra."
The show will feature both material by Genesis including Supper’s Ready, Dancing with the Moonlit Knight, Firth of Fifth along with material from Steve’s remarkable solo career (30 albums) including Shadow of the Hierophant, El Niño and The Steppes.
